Ilmu meringankan badan or in English the art of alleviate
the body. In Silat Seni Gayong the art was taught from the beginning of class.
Whether the practitioners aware or not are not the matters. The most important
method is to be applied in each training session. But nowadays the method has
been faded and preparations on the body conditioning are not well maintained or
preserved.
There are the techniques set of exercise for this purpose
and there is also a spiritual side of it. The combination of those method will
generate a great deal in lighten the body. Mastering both applications will able
the practitioners to perform the techniques of YOI. With the lighten body the
practitioner will be able gaining full agility in movement which are important
when performing techniques.

How does this applications works? There are a set of
conditioning exercise to perform every time at training session. Those set of
exercise resulted with lighten the body for agility in movement. The training
might take longer time before reached to those stages and highly patience
needed. Combination with spiritual method in applying these techniques would be
able the practitioners to perform the techniques with flying colours.
When correct training is done the body will feel lighter and
when walking the feeling was like flying. Nevertheless it increased the speed
of the movement and the leg will move as fast as the hand. Leaping like a tiger
flying like an eagle, as a proverb Malay saying, like walking on a leaf.

The exercise set start with stabilities, muscle built,
stamina, stretching the muscle, coordination etc are the major act that should
be applied during each training session. Combination with spiritual at a
certain time would be a complete set of application for completing mastering
these techniques.
The training take years of perfection which are categories
in the art of Tapak Gayong. The secret behind the training if done perfectly
and precisely will prepare the practitioners for the advance stage which known
as YOI. The agility, the speed, the accuracy in performing the striking
techniques are founded in that art of alleviates the body. As for the lovers of
Silat Seni Gayong for that purpose I would suggest dig the knowledge without
fail and be ancient warrior of the Malay.
