Before we go further discussing about the art of “ Kipas Nandong”, first we must understand the meaning. “ Kipas “ as it was understood in Malay is a tool for cooling and channelling  a winds. In Malay custom “nandong” is the art of singing which are accompanied by musical instruments. An example of the event is “berbuai anak” (swinging baby in the cradle).During this event while swinging they sing a song that was composed seems to speak in a nice beautiful melodies.
