Cliffs of Moher is one of the outstanding features of coastal Ireland. Located in County Clare and just south from the village Doolin and Burren. The cliffs got it’s name from the ruined of fort “Mothar” closed to the site which was built 1st century BC. It was originally a site of gigantic river delta that were formed 320 million years ago.

Being almost vertical their sheer drop into the heaving Atlantic ocean is a haven for sea birds. The highest point of the cliff is the O’Brien Tower. From the cliffs we can see the Aran Island, Galway Bay, Twelve Pins, and Maum Turk Mountain to the north and Loop Head to the south.

Being the haven for sea birds, the Cliffs of Moher is home to huge number of nesting birds, These include the Atlantic Puffin, Razorbills, and Common Gull.
At the downhill there’s a visitor center where an audio visual theater, restaurant, exhibition and retail area. You can find various of souvenir mainly on the cliff.

Such a beautiful and spectacular panorama and one of the most impressive landscape and a heaven for photographers. Many film makers came to the Cliffs of Moher to capture the panorama in their film. Such a popular that have been shot here are Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince. Cliffs of Moher the natural landscape and beauty of the Irish.
