          Syrian Arab Republic is a country in Western Asia, bordering Lebanon and Mediterranean sea to the west, Turkey to the north, Iraq to the east and Palestine to the southeast and Jordan to the south. The capital city is Damascus also known as Syam in the old days are one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. The country has a significant historical sites all of which are respectfully maintained by the authorities. The ancient city of Damascus, Aleppo and Bosra are all listed on Unesco's World Heritage list, as is the sensationally beautiful ruined city of Palmyra. Excellent to offer such as mighty crusaders castle, labyrinthine , medieval souqs, jewel like Ummayad house and mosque.

          The populations of Syria predominately Arab with large minorities from other ethnic group, Kurds, Armenians and Turks. The official language are Arabic but other tongues that occasionally understood. With mixture of ethnics and crossroad of civilizations , though often described as the cradle of civilisations. It has been the bridge connecting the cultures of Eastern Mediterraneans and Fertile Crescent, and the beginning of silk road joining the West with East. It is where Assyrian , Sumerian, Phoenician, Babylonian, Egyptian, Greek and Roman empires and culture met and influences each other.

         On the other contrary, Syria contributed as a developing knowledge centre , during the era of those great empires. In this nations, discovered the secrets of Agriculture, Metallurgy, and invented the very first alphabet. Syria the ancient, father of alphabet which was started with 30 letter Semitic , which form the basis for the Greek alphabet, and therefore the languages of the western world was a significant contributions and legacy to human civilisations.  Religious, philosophies, language of trade , systems of urban development, all were developed in the ancient geographical Syria.
